When to do maternity Photos: The Best Time for your session

Maternity photos are a great way to capture this special time in your life. But when is the best time for your maternity photo session? Many women want to know the answer to this question. In this blog post, we will discuss the different times during your pregnancy that you can have your maternity photos taken. We will also provide some tips on how to choose the right time for you!

At Elizabeth Albers Photography, we like to schedule our maternity clients sessions between 30-35 weeks. This time frame allows you to still feel comfortable, while also having that beautiful “belly” to show off! If you are wanting to do more of a nude or boudoir maternity session, we recommend scheduling your session closer to the 34-35 week mark. This will allow your skin to have that nice “glow” that comes with being pregnant. Shooting in this timeframe also gives us time to schedule your ordering appointment following your session and deliver the images you purchase before baby arrives.

We like to give our clients a well rounded session. Our maternity sessions last 60 minutes. Want to include your significant other or family/children? You can! Want to do some in our studio and some outside on-location? Let’s do it!  The best part about our sessions is that they are tailored to YOU and what you want.
